What is the art style called where different types of wood are inserted to make a picture? - wood mosaic

It is like a mosaic made of wood, or delay woodblock cut different shapes and used almost like paint colors, to deviate a 2D image format. What is your name and where can I learn more about how you do?

This is called "intarsia" and there are some great websites about it! Do a search on Google or Yahoo for that term.

I've heard it is inlaid in wood with 1 / 8 inch thick ... and is also known as intarsia, but this term is usually associated with a thin metal foil.
For thicker cut of wood, usually with a jigsaw ... Plates are cut with precision, or sometimes a spin.
Or stick to a substrate and then, until the glue sets down.
I can see online Rockler is a known side carpenters. I am sure that their order books ... I know I have a diverse selection of veneer.
